Basebright Inc. ("Company," "we," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") clearly outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information through our macOS application, PrivateVoice (the "Application"), and associated backend services. By accessing or using the Application, you explicitly consent to this Policy.
1. Voice and Text Data Processing
PrivateVoice processes voice data and recognized text exclusively on your local macOS device. At no point are voice recordings or transcribed text shared, transmitted, or accessible by Basebright Inc. or third-party services. The Application is fully functional offline for voice processing, provided an account is signed in with an active subscription.
2. User Account Information and Backend Services
The Application uses Google Sign-In for authentication purposes. Your email address and associated user identifiers obtained via Google Sign-In are securely stored and managed within Supabase, our third-party database and authentication provider.
We only use the information obtained from Google (email address, basic profile information) for authentication and account management purposes. We do not share, sell, or use this information for any other purpose.
This Application uses Google Sign-In and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
3. Usage and Diagnostic Information
We automatically collect and analyze certain usage and diagnostic data necessary to improve, maintain, and support the Application. This data may include, without limitation:
- Application launch and closure events
- Usage patterns and interactions (such as shortcuts, buttons, and feature activations)
- Technical errors, crash reports, and performance diagnostics
- Device and system information (such as macOS version, device type, hardware specifications)
3.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We utilize trusted third-party services for specific functionalities, including:
- Amplitude: For analytics regarding Application usage patterns and user interactions.
- Sentry: For capturing and analyzing technical issues, errors, and application stability.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- SupaBase: For secure storage of authentication details and user account management.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): For infrastructure, secure data storage, content delivery, and other services related to hosting and operating the Application (AWS Privacy Policy).
By using PrivateVoice, you explicitly consent and agree to abide by the respective terms of service and privacy policies of all third-party providers listed above.
Except as explicitly stated in this Policy, we do not share your email address or personally identifiable information outside SupaBase and AWS, as required for secure data management and service delivery.
4. Data Identification and Privacy
The Application assigns and utilizes randomly generated identifiers for tracking usage, interactions, and diagnostic reporting within analytics systems (Amplitude and Sentry). While your email address is stored only in SupaBase, usage and diagnostic data collected in Amplitude and Sentry, linked via randomly generated identifiers, may potentially be associated with your account by Basebright Inc. strictly for customer support, account verification, or technical assistance.
5. Explicit User Consent
By using the Application and signing in via Google Sign-In, you explicitly consent to:
- Storage and use of your email address and identifiers within SupaBase.
- Collection, processing, and storage of usage and diagnostic information in Amplitude and Sentry.
- Processing of your data through our backend services to deliver the Application's functionality.
- Acceptance and compliance with the terms and policies of all third-party services listed herein.
The exclusive purpose of collecting analytics and technical diagnostics data is to ensure application reliability, improve user experience, support customer requests, and maintain account management and authentication integrity.
6. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us directly at support@privatevoice.app. Upon receipt and verification of your request, we will delete your account and data within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Data Security
Basebright Inc. employs industry-standard security measures to protect your stored data, including encryption, secure data storage protocols, and controlled access policies designed to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Basebright Inc. provides the Application on an "as-is" basis. You acknowledge that no system or internet-based transmission can guarantee absolute security. While we implement stringent security measures, you accept the inherent risks associated with electronic data storage and transmission. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basebright Inc. disclaims any liability for any unauthorized access, damage, loss, or misuse of your data.
9. Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy periodically at our discretion. Any changes or updates will be prominently posted online with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application following any modifications indicates your acceptance and consent to the revised Policy.
